The lion’s mane jellyfish is one of the largest known species of jellyfish and can have bell diameters over 6 feet in diameter. This particular jellyfish’s bell was between 2-3 feet across. They are only found in the cold waters of the Artic, northern Atlantic, and northern Pacific Oceans. For context, the water was a frigid 49 degrees during the dive that this was taken.
